Singer Chun-gil joined members of his official fan cafe in his hometown of Yeoju on the 13th to make kimchi for local neighbors, continuing their community work following earlier donations and support for young people preparing for independent living.

The kimchi prepared during the “Miracle Love Sharing Kimchi Volunteer Service” will be distributed to neighbors across Yeoju through the Ganam-eup Community Security Council. The event was organized to bring warmth to people in need and put the value of sharing into practice.

Participants included Chunsarang, a Chun-gil fan group formed around Yeoju, and fans from across the country. Chunsarang members donated kimchi ingredients, cleaned and prepared them, and helped with advance preparations. Official fan cafe members and other participating fans also helped prepare for the event and make the kimchi. The source did not give a participant count from the organizers or fan group.

Chun-gil has expressed a wish to do meaningful work with his fans, according to the source, and they have joined him in donations and volunteering. Their community activities have also included using Yeoju rice as promotional gifts, connecting their support for the singer with his hometown.

Donations marked a festival, debut anniversary and birthday

Last October, Chun-gil and his fans made a Yeoju Love contribution of 10 million won to the Ganam Festival Promotion Committee during the Yeoju Seonbi Market Festival.

In December of the same year, they marked the third anniversary of Chun-gil’s debut with a designated donation of 10 million won to Yeoju City through the Community Chest of Korea.

In March this year, they donated 5 million won to ChildFund Korea to mark Chun-gil’s birthday, supporting the growth of young people preparing for independent living and their transition to life on their own.

Chun-gil to join Mr. Trot 3 national tour
