Actor Jung Jun-won showcased deep acting in the MBC Friday-Saturday drama ‘A Bona Fide Killer.’

In the 9th episode of ‘A Bona Fide Killer’ aired on the 28th, Tae-seong (Jung Jun-won) began to trace the memories of a kidnapping incident that happened to him four years ago after meeting Sergei (Shin Hyun-soo), a Russian friend of his wife Yu Bona (Gong Hyo-jin). Tae-seong showed conflict between his sense of duty to cover Kingfisher and his responsibility to protect his family.

In this episode, Tae-seong revealed subtle jealousy toward Sergei, who visited the house, while also expressing his affection for his wife by saying, “The important thing is the present, not the past.” However, the words “Goodbye, Tae-seong” left by Sergei awakened memories buried during the Hae-gong-dong incident four years ago. Tae-seong recalled the moment he almost encountered Bona, who was preparing a sniper shot, with only a door between them while he was chasing the whereabouts of Yeon Chang-bok, as well as the moment he was threatened by Sergei that his family could be in danger if he leaked Kingfisher's identity. Subsequently, the mystery surrounding the mysterious text messages from the past was solved as he also recalled hearing the words “Goodnight, Tae-seong.”

Later, during the investigation process, Tae-seong, who heard the news of Jang Eun-hak's parole—the person who drove Dong-jin's (Lee Sang-yi) parents to their deaths—immediately informed Dong-jin. Dong-jin went looking for Jang Eun-hak and witnessed the situation where Jang Eun-hak attacked a furniture store owner. At this scene, Bona, who appeared for a client meeting, simultaneously aimed her gun, and as Tae-seong also appeared on the scene, curiosity grew regarding the subsequent actions of the three people.

Jung Jun-won expressed the jealousy and affection Tae-seong showed in front of Bona's male friend with witty facial expressions and tone, while in moments when the forgotten past resurfaced, he anchored the drama with a frozen face, trembling eyes, and a low voice. Furthermore, he added depth to the character by expressing the sense of relief felt when learning about his wife's pregnancy in the reality he returned to after the kidnapping through dense emotional acting. ‘A Bona Fide Killer’ airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM.
