[Korea Social Welfare Journal] Reporter Kang Hyun-gu= Group Kiki (Ji-yu, Leesol, Sui, Haum, Kiya) is accelerating its expansion into the e-sports arena. Riot Games, which manages League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK), announced on August 26 that Kiki will take the stage for the opening ceremony of the 2026 LCK Finals to be held on September 13.
Kiki recently showcased a new sound to LCK fans through the recent season song ‘Leave Your Mark pt.2’, and subsequently participated in both that and the new song ‘Pain in the Dark’.
In particular, ‘Pain in the Dark’ was created under the influence of the new League of Legends champion ‘Roke’, and conveys a strong will to overcome difficult situations through the members' intense vocals and dynamic energy.
Specifically, this LCK Finals opening ceremony is expected to present Kiki's stage even more vividly by visually expressing the narrative of 'Pain in the Dark'. Kiki's musical challenge is receiving great attention among LCK fans, and expectations are high for how their performance will unfold.
Kiki is scheduled to deliver a wonderful performance at the LCK Finals held at the KSPO DOME in Songpa-gu, Seoul, on September 13. On the 10th, they returned with their third mini album ‘Waikiki’ and achieved the feat of ranking number one on the global YouTube Music Video Trending chart with the title track 'Pop Off Pop Off', and also recorded number one on Apple Music and Spotify.
