According to media reports, comedian Kim Seung-hye shared the circumstances of her childbirth by uploading a video titled "The meeting we waited ten months for, nice to meet you, Dung-i" to her YouTube channel on the 8th. She revealed that while having dinner and watching soccer with her husband Kim Hae-joon, she felt back pain and packed her maternity bag, but because the pain kept recurring, she was not sure if it was labor.

The pain gradually became more frequent starting from 3 a.m., and after 5 a.m., it became so severe that she had to hold one side of her face, and bleeding also began. After speaking with the delivery room, Kim Seung-hye headed to the hospital around 6:30 a.m. She explained that during the move, the labor pains were so intense that she had to hold onto the walls.

As a result of the pelvic examination at the hospital, her cervix was already 4cm open. Nurses said, "How did you endure this and come here? Usually, people come earlier; it is surprising that you endured until it was 4cm open." Kim Seung-hye said, "Since it is my first pregnancy and I didn't know how intense labor pains are, I think I endured it well because I was slow to realize it."

After receiving an epidural, the pain decreased, and delivery proceeded rapidly around sunrise. Although she thought there was a possibility that Kim Hae-joon might not be able to be with her due to his broadcasting schedule at 9 a.m. that day, Kim Seung-hye gave birth to her daughter 'Dung-i' before 9 a.m. after pushing several times in the operating room. It was 3.5 hours after arriving at the hospital.

Kim Seung-hye shared that she cut the umbilical cord and even performed kangaroo care before Kim Hae-joon left for his schedule. She said, "Our daughter, who understood her mom and dad's hearts perfectly, already seems to be a devoted daughter." Kim Seung-hye and Kim Hae-joon married in October 2024 after dating for about one year, and she announced that she gave birth to her daughter on the 29th of last month.
