Ryu Yi-seo completes first embryo transfer... two 3-day-old embryos transferred
Ryu Yi-seo shared the process of undergoing her first embryo transfer with Jun Jin on her YouTube channel 'My Love Ryu Yi-seo'. She transferred two 3-day-old embryos and expressed her mixed emotions regarding the upcoming possibility of pregnancy.
According to media reports, in a video released on the YouTube channel ‘My Love Ryu Yi-seo’ on the 1st, Ryu Yi-seo shared the process of attempting an embryo transfer with Jun Jin. The video began in early August inside a car as the two headed to the hospital. Ryu Yi-seo explained that three months have passed since her egg retrieval, noting that transfers are generally performed one or two months after egg retrieval.
Following the hospital consultation, Ryu Yi-seo stated that she was informed by the medical staff that it would be fine to attempt the transfer five days later. On the day of the transfer, Jun Jin said he felt sorry and heartbroken that he could not be with his wife to receive injections and go through the difficult process together. He continued by expressing his wish for his wife to do as she desires regardless of the transfer results, and his hope that she would not have to suffer more.
Ryu Yi-seo said that after completing the transfer, it did not hurt and the procedure was so systematic that it felt like a future era. She further confessed that she felt nervous, as if standing at a crossroads where she might become pregnant or might not. She added that she transferred two 3-day-old embryos and that the remaining task is for the two of them not to be overly disappointed.
Ryu Yi-seo is a former Korean Air flight attendant who married Jun Jin in 2020. The two have revealed their married life on various entertainment programs. Last March, they announced via YouTube that they decided to get pregnant after six years of marriage and began IVF treatment.
