A dinner show featuring SECHSKIES members Ko Ji-yong, Jang Su-won, and Lee Jae-jin, set to take place at 6:00 PM on December 15 and 16 at the INSPIRE Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, has become embroiled in controversy regarding its commercial nature. The event organizer, Mountain Movement Story, announced on the 30th of last month that the show, titled "The Tree in INSPIRE - SECHSKIES' Untold Story," would be held. Planned ahead of the group's 30th anniversary next year, the event has drawn significant attention due to the return of Ko Ji-yong, who had previously left the entertainment industry to focus on business.

The event is structured as a package including a performance, a resort tour, and a meal. Ticket prices are set at 454,000 won for a double room, 568,400 won for Business Deluxe, and 898,400 won for a Suite. Fans have criticized the high pricing, claiming it targets nostalgia, and backlash has grown because only three of the four members will perform, as leader Eun Ji-won and main dancer Kim Jae-duck will not be in attendance.

Ko Ji-yong did not participate in the group's reunion during MBC's "Infinite Challenge - Saturday Saturday Is a Singer 2" in 2016 and has not joined group activities since. Dissatisfaction has been expressed that this performance, the first for fans in 10 years, is a dinner show rather than official musical activity. Additionally, the timing of his return has become a point of contention following ongoing legal disputes with Heo Yang-im regarding child support and visitation rights following their divorce.

Jang Su-won reportedly told Police, the official J-Walk fandom, to view the event as a "warm-up dance" for the 30th anniversary, stating it is unrelated to the actual 30th anniversary. Fans are criticizing this description, arguing that calling it a "warm-up" shows a lack of respect for fans who are being asked to purchase expensive tickets.
