Hoshi, a member of the group Seventeen currently serving in the military, will be absent from scheduled official events due to a knee injury. On the 12th, Hoshi personally shared the news via the fan platform Weverse, stating that he injured his knee during practice with the Ground Forces performance team and was diagnosed with a complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament following a detailed examination.
Accordingly, Hoshi plans to undergo surgery and focus on treatment and recovery for the time being. Due to this, he will be unable to perform at the Taekwondo Demonstration Team event and the Ground Forces Festival stages where his participation was scheduled. Hoshi expressed his regret and apologies to fans and asked for support for his colleagues who prepared for the events together.
Hoshi, who enlisted as an active-duty soldier in the Army on September 16 last year, has been serving in the Army Taekwondo Demonstration Team. Having debuted with Seventeen in 2015, he has been actively working as the leader of the team's performance unit.
