The film ‘Bongcheon-dong Ghost’ has begun filming.

‘Bongcheon-dong Ghost’ tells the story of ‘Su-yeon’ experiencing strange phenomena in an apartment in Bongcheon-dong, built atop a valley where shamans used to perform rituals.

The work is based on the webtoon ‘Bongcheon-dong Ghost’ by the author Horang, expanding the ghost stories from the webtoon into horror within a familiar daily life.

Arin takes on the role of ‘Su-yeon,’ acting as a character who becomes possessed by a ghost and gets caught up in a curse in Bongcheon-dong that has continued for hundreds of years. Having finished her first shoot, Arin said, “I want to prepare even more meticulously for the remaining filming to complete a film that combines a dense story with tension-filled horror.”

Yoon Chan-yeong appears as ‘Tae-o,’ a young man who can see ghosts. He stated, “I am looking forward to the upcoming filming and the completed film. I will strive to show a deeper version of ‘Tae-o’ every day.” ‘Bongcheon-dong Ghost’ is directed by Han Dong-seok, who entered the competition section of the Brussels International Film Festival with the film ‘The Sin.’
