Global fandom business company bemyfriends introduced cases of building fandoms for overseas content IPs using its platform ‘b.stage’ at the ACFM held during the Busan International Film Festival. bemyfriends opened the official community for the musical comedy film ‘Rags to Richmond’ and established an environment where audiences can continuously communicate with the work even after the film festival.

This film is an example of expanding a short-form series into a feature film, attracting attention with the appearance of Chinese-speaking actors such as Eric Tsang and Xue Jiayan. Beyond films, bemyfriends is supporting the domestic activities of the Japanese groups cosmosy and ENJIN, providing infrastructure that allows overseas artists to interact with domestic fans in real time. This is interpreted as an attempt to expand the fandom management methods proven in the K-pop field to other genres.

Seo Woo-seok, CEO of bemyfriends, stated, “We will provide an optimized business environment so that various content IPs can form continuous relationships with Korean audiences, transcending genres and borders.” Currently, b.stage is expanding its presence in the global fan-tech market, operating more than 400 platforms in 220 countries worldwide.
