Choi Yena Asks Science YouTuber Orbit "Is It Real?" About Exoplanet News and Gets an Essay Back
Singer Choi Yena posted her Instagram DM exchange with science YouTuber Orbit about news of an exoplanet where aliens were reportedly found. Orbit answered at length, and netizens reacted with amusement.
A one-line question from singer Choi Yena drew a long reply from the science YouTuber Orbit, who explained the equipment of the MeerKAT radio telescope, auroras on exoplanets, the protective role of magnetic fields and the possibility of life. Choi posted a capture of the Instagram direct-message exchange.
A short question, a long answer
Choi wrote on a communication app that she "saw the news about a planet where aliens were found and immediately used my Orbit card." The capture shows her sending a link to the news video with the message "!!!!!Is it real?"
Orbit replied, "Yena, you doing well and staying healthy?ㅋ" before moving on to the lengthy explanation.
Online reaction and other links
Once the exchange became known, netizens left comments such as "Orbit taking on a character-limit challenge over a single 'Is it real?'" and "Choi Yena's personal knowledge-Q&A service is insane."
Choi had previously mentioned, in connection with last year's MBC entertainment show Radio Star, that she and Orbit exchanged messages about aliens. She has recently continued her music activities by releasing the new remake song "A Rare Woman," made with NOWIMYOUNG.
