FNC Announces Legal Action Against Threats, Verbal Abuse, and Slander Related to Hi-Fi Unicorn

FNC Entertainment has announced a policy of legal response against acts of threat and slander directed at its artists and the staff in charge.

On the 28th, FNC stated that cases have been identified where threatening messages were sent to an executive in charge regarding Hi-Fi Unicorn, or where verbal abuse and slanderous videos were distributed toward artists and staff because demands were not met.

The agency explained that private threats against others, insults to personality, and the distribution of malicious false information are serious matters that constitute violations of the Information and Communications Network Act and obstruction of business.

Furthermore, while the agency will continue to review and reflect reasonable suggestions and voices through official suggestion channels, it stated that if acts of threatening executives or distributing malicious content toward artists are identified, it will not only forcibly expel them from the official fan club but also permanently revoke their right to participate in all schedules, such as performances and fan meetings.

FNC added that it is conducting constant monitoring through legal representatives regarding threats that cross the line, insults to personality, and the distribution of malicious fake news, and will take strict civil and criminal legal measures without any leniency.
