NewJeans member Haerin revealed that she spent her period of inactivity, which arose due to disputes with her agency, practicing. In a recently released interview with the fashion magazine Marie Claire, when asked how she spent her time leading up to turning twenty, she replied, "I spent it doing a lot of things. I practiced, read books, studied, and traveled." She did not mention specifically what kind of practice she did.

She also expressed her expectations for the stage. To the question, "What kind of image do you want to show when you step on stage?", she answered, "I want to show the emotions I feel in each moment or the way I enjoy myself more freely than before." She added, "My intention to continue striving to create a stage where the viewers feel joy and pleasant emotions remains unchanged." When asked about the future scene she looks forward to most, she replied, "Meeting fans on stage and looking at them for a long time, as much as they have waited, I really want to see them a lot."

The members of NewJeans, including Haerin, have been unable to take the stage for about 1 year and 5 months due to the dispute with the agency ADOR. They are currently preparing for activities after returning to ADOR. On the 22nd of last month, marking their 4th anniversary since debut, NewJeans released a teaser video for '2026 Summer of NewJeans' featuring Minji, Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein. This was the first official team content where the members appeared together in about 1 year and 4 months since their Hong Kong performance last March.

ADOR stated that they will announce NewJeans' specific activity plans and methods after discussions are completely finalized. Haerin engaged in her first individual activity after returning to the agency by gracing the cover of the September issue of Marie Claire on the 14th of this month. At the time, ADOR drew a line, stating that the photo shoot was not directly related to the resumption of musical activities, and that they would provide guidance once the specific music activity plans and methods are confirmed.
