i-dle YUQI will release her second mini album ‘二十七(27)’ on October 8 at 1 PM. According to her agency, this album is her first solo release in 1 year and 1 month since releasing the single ‘Motivation’ last September. YUQI included her age, twenty-seven, in the album title. The artwork teaser released on September 23 contains the number ‘27’ and a phrase comparing the period of hiding worries behind a bright expression to a sunflower.

The album contains six songs, all of which YUQI participated in writing and composing. The first song, ‘快乐’, deals with facing her own image of pretending to be happy, and ‘Chamomile Tea’ is a song of gratitude to the fans who became a source of comfort and a sanctuary. ‘I Like You’ contains the feeling of loving oneself as one is, and ‘Feels Right’ carries the message of enjoying the present rather than struggling to find the right answer. ‘银河之舞’ depicts a story of moving beyond fear toward an unknown world through the images of the galaxy, starlight, and comets.

The title track ‘Stay’ is a song about youth spent with precious beings, based on a band sound. It contains the theme of moving forward together to chase the light, even if the future is uncertain and there are rules and walls set by the world. ‘银河之舞’ was previously revealed on stage during the i-dle world tour ‘Syncopation’ performance in Macau held in September. YUQI has participated in writing and composing from the title track ‘Giant’ of her first digital single ‘A Page’ in 2021 to the track ‘FREAK’ in ‘YUQ1’, and her single ‘Motivation’ last year was filled entirely with self-composed songs.

According to media reports, YUQI won ‘THE BEST SOLO’ at ‘ASEA 2026’ held at the Belluna Dome in Saitama, Japan, in May 2026. According to her agency, ‘YUQ1’ exceeded 550,000 copies in first-week sales. The title track ‘FREAK’ set a record of charting for 100 consecutive weeks on the Tencent Music Korea chart and was also named among the ‘Woman of the Year’ selected by Tencent Music. YUQI joined as a fixed member of Zhejiang Satellite TV’s ‘Keep Running’ in 2019 and appeared in survival programs such as ‘Explosive Stage: Stage Boom’. Her Weibo followers have exceeded 12 million.

YUQI opened the character pop-up store ‘YUQI CHARACTER POP-UP [TODAY WITH GIGI]’ on September 30. Following the album release, she is scheduled to hold the fan concert ‘2026 YUQI Fan-Con ‘27’’ in four Chinese cities: Guangzhou, Chengdu, Beijing, and Shanghai. She will continue her solo activities with the new album, the pop-up store, and the Chinese fan concerts.
