JYP Entertainment dismisses Japanese investment group's acquisition proposal as spam
JYP Entertainment has denied rumors of a stake acquisition proposal from a Japanese investment group, stating that an email sent by the group was blocked as spam.
JYP Entertainment denied receiving any valid proposals following a disclosure on October 27, 2026, labeling an email from Nexrock as "blatant spam" that was blocked by security policies. The Japanese investment group and its affiliate SVCV had previously announced plans to review a tender offer for 25% to 50% of the company's shares.
JYP Entertainment has once again denied rumors regarding a stake acquisition proposal from a Japanese investment group.
In an official statement released on the afternoon of the 29th, JYP Entertainment stated that it has not received any officially valid proposals, nor has it reviewed any, following its public disclosure on October 27, 2026.
The company further explained that the email from the company reported on October 29 was classified as "blatant spam" and could not be confirmed in the reception records because it failed to meet sender reliability standards under security policies.
The email was forcibly blocked before reaching the company, a fact that was confirmed through the email service provider.
Previously, the Japanese investment group Nexrock announced on the 21st via email that it had plans for future negotiations, and on the 26th, it announced that it was reviewing a plan to conduct a tender offer for 25% to 50% of JYP Entertainment's issued shares together with its affiliate SVCV.
