Kim Mu-yeol Captivates Netflix Viewers with a Mysterious Helper Role in 'Granny'
Actor Kim Mu-yeol is drawing attention for his role as Seo Yeon-woo, a key ally in the Netflix noir action series 'Granny'.
[Korea Social Welfare Journal] Reporter Kang Hyeon-gu=Kim Mu-yeol is drawing attention once again by playing the lead in Netflix's new work 'Granny'. This series is a noir action drama where a grandmother, Jeong Suk-ja, picks up a gun to protect her grandson and faces off against a criminal organization. The character of Seo Yeon-woo, played by Kim Mu-yeol, serves as Jeong Suk-ja's ally and plays a key role in the development of the case.
The character Seo Yeon-woo is a person who uncovers the secret between the grandson's accident and the criminal organization Cheonghwa Group, and is characterized by excellent information-gathering abilities and quick judgment. However, his true intentions are rarely revealed, adding a mysterious charm.
The directing of this series is handled by director Lee Kwon, who produced 'A Shop for Killers'. Lee Jung-eun stars alongside Kim Mu-yeol, and the two are working together again for the first time in four years since 'Juvenile Justice'. The casting list also includes Huh Joon-ho, Choi Sung-eun, Bae Nara, Seo Hyun Woo, and Moon Jong-won.
Kim Mu-yeol, who achieved good results on Netflix with 'Teach You a Lesson', will appear as a lead not only in this 'Granny' but also in 'First Doctor'. The latter is a medical drama set in pediatric surgery, where Kim Mu-yeol is expected to show another charm by playing the role of Bae Su-wol, a professor of anesthesiology and pain medicine. With this, Kim Mu-yeol continues a series of challenges based on a strong connection with Netflix.
