Lim Jeong-hee reveals she auditioned at Bang Si-hyuk's parents' house
Singer Lim Jeong-hee shared the story of her journey to becoming a singer, including a unique audition held at the residence of Bang Si-hyuk's parents.
Singer Lim Jeong-hee shared details of her journey to stardom in a YouTube video released on the 19th, revealing she once performed her first audition in a corner of Bang Si-hyuk's bedroom.
According to media reports, singer Lim Jeong-hee introduced the process of her journey to becoming a singer by drawing a life graph in a video released on her YouTube channel on the 19th. The video is titled ‘Icon of Misfortune? Lim Jeong-hee's Life Graph (feat. JYP, YEPP advertisement, US debut).’
Lim explained that while she was working as an extra, she filmed a scene where she was singing. The director on set was close to J.Y. Park, and after hearing Lim sing, appeared to intend to introduce her to him.
On the day of her first audition, she visited a local hair salon early in the morning for a perm and hair coloring. Lim recalled arriving at the audition venue with purple hair dye still dripping from her hair.
The audition took place at the house where Bang Si-hyuk's parents lived. When Lim arrived for the audition, Bang Si-hyuk's mother opened the door, and Lim sang in a corner of Bang Si-hyuk's room inside the house. She mentioned that the song she chose at the time was likely pop music like Whitney Houston, noting that she went in knowing that both herself and the audition officials liked Black music.
Lim debuted in 2005 with her first studio album, ‘Music Is My Life.’ She earned the nickname "Street Diva" by building her skills through street performances and has been loved for songs such as ‘Music Is My Life,’ ‘I Didn't Cry,’ ‘Love, Don't Go,’ and ‘Golden Lady.’
