Actor Park Shin-yang shared photos on September 7 from an art talk at the National Assembly Library, where he reflected on how his paintings help viewers reconnect with suppressed emotions. The actor, who held his first planned special exhibition, The Fourth Wall, in July, described finding answers through his artistic work.

Actor Park Shin-yang posted a long message on his social media on September 7, revealing photos taken during an art talk at the National Assembly Library. In the photos, he is seen wearing a neat gray jacket and navy tie, posing for commemorative shots with a bright smile.

During the event, Park held a microphone in front of his paintings to describe the reactions of the audience. "At my first solo exhibition, the special invitation at mM Art Center, I saw many visitors crying in front of my paintings," he stated. He added, "I thought it might be because the creator's intentions and emotions were conveyed, but in most cases, I believe it was because viewers were reuniting with their own forgotten or long-suppressed emotions through the paintings and the exhibition."

He continued, "In terms of what my paintings and exhibitions are doing and can do, I can say that I have gained a certain degree of answers and comfort regarding the times when I did not know what I was doing." He also explained, "To deeply understand a work, it is important to understand the artist, but the ultimate purpose of art is not to stop at understanding the artist, but to look back at oneself through the work."

Park Shin-yang debuted in the 1996 film Glass and subsequently made a name for himself through numerous dramas, including Lovers in Paris, War of Money, Sign, Painter of the Wind, and My Lawyer, Mr. Jo. Recently, he has transitioned into an active painter, holding his first planned special exhibition, The Fourth Wall, in July.

Meanwhile, Häagen-Dazs, a company operated by Park Shin-yang's wife Baek Hye-jin, recently surpassed 100 billion won in sales, recording its highest-ever revenue. Baek Hye-jin is known to be the granddaughter of the late former chairman Baek Jong-geun.
