Park Soo Hong apologizes for 1-hour delay of Guam flight due to family's boarding reversal, calling it "caused by ignorance"
Park Soo Hong issued an apology after his family's decision to disembark and then re-board caused a one-hour delay for a Korean Air flight from Incheon…
It has been revealed that the aircraft carrying broadcaster Park Soo Hong's family departed approximately one hour later than scheduled following a reversal in their decision to disembark and re-board.
On the 26th, a post appeared on an online community stating that a Korean Air passenger plane scheduled to depart from Incheon International Airport for Guam on the 23rd was delayed by about an hour due to the boarding reversal of Park Soo Hong's family. According to the author, as Park Soo Hong's child continued to cry immediately after boarding, the family expressed their intention to disembark to the airline, leading to the process of unloading the checked baggage that had already been loaded. After the child stopped crying, the family expressed their intention to board again, and as the airline accepted this, the process of reloading the baggage followed.
As the controversy spread, Park Soo Hong posted an apology on his SNS on this day. He bowed his head in apology, stating that the delay caused by his family during the flight departure process took away the time of many passengers and caused damage to the airline staff. He further explained that because the child cried so much immediately after boarding that they could not sit down, he panicked and expressed the intention to disembark due to an immature judgment, but failed to realize that procedures such as security checks would be required again during the re-boarding process.
Park Soo Hong stated, "This happened entirely due to my ignorance regarding aviation-related procedures, and there is no room for any excuse."
