AI techtainment company PULSE9 announced on the 22nd that it successfully concluded 'Techtainment 2026 Seoul - Forum & Awards', which was held at DDP in Seoul on August 18. PULSE9 was in charge of the overall planning and operation of this event, while the awards segment was co-hosted by AIDOL101 and IDAC. With 'AI in K-Culture' as the core theme, the event was graced by a large number of creators, artists, startup officials, marketers, and industry researchers seeking the convergence of content and AI technology.
The event program proceeded in the order of an AI practical workshop held in the morning, followed by the International Digital Asset Awards ceremony and certificate presentation, project presentations, cover performances by the AIDOL101 Montreux Campaign Top 3, and finally the forum. In particular, moving beyond simple technology introductions, practical discussions were held on how to integrate AI into actual creation, IP, fandom business, and service areas. The stage of the Montreux Top 3, who won the global online campaign, was evaluated as proving the possibility that artists discovered online can expand to offline venues.
In the awards segment, the scope was expanded beyond companies and services to include artists and projects presenting new creative methods using AI, selecting a total of 14 cases and presenting official certificates. In the Entertech 2026 opening forum held on the same day, PULSE9 CEO Park Ji-eun gave a presentation on the topic 'If entertainment becomes infinite, what becomes valuable?'. Through the panel talk, Park shared in-depth opinions on the role of human creators, the value of content IP, and industry connection methods in an environment where the speed of content production is increasing due to generative AI.
CEO Park Ji-eun emphasized, "As the amount of content that can be produced with AI surges, it will be difficult to differentiate through simple production capability alone," adding, "In the future, the value of choosing what to make and how to connect it to narratives and businesses will become even more important." She also added, "Techtainment is not a simple combination of technology and entertainment, but a process in which AI, content, IP, fandom, and platforms influence each other to build new domains," expressing hope that this event would serve as a starting point for discovering new creations and businesses.
PULSE9 plans to continuously expand the techtainment network through follow-up activities for artists and projects centered on AIDOL101, as well as domestic and international open calls, joint projects, and global showcases. PULSE9's policy is to not stop at a one-time event but to develop a structure where creators, technology companies, and industry partners can promote practical next projects.
