i-dle's SHUHUA visited the Busan International Film Festival with her first leading role on the big screen.

The film 'Happily Ever After', starring SHUHUA, was invited to the 'A Window on Asian Cinema' section of the 31st Busan International Film Festival, which opened on the 6th.

SHUHUA completed major schedules including the opening ceremony, the outdoor stage greeting held on the 7th, an official press conference, and a Guest Visit (GV).

At the opening ceremony red carpet, she appeared wearing a pink dress and greeted the audience by waving her hands. Subsequently, she took the stage for the outdoor stage greeting held at the Busan Cinema Center Roof Theater alongside director Fiona Roan and actors Jin Seon and Chae Beom-hui.

At the official press conference, SHUHUA said, "I was very nervous at first, but I ended up feeling anticipation rather than tension," adding, "It is an honor to be able to come to such a large film festival with my first leading role. I am curious to see how the audience will react." Regarding her role, she explained, "The character Hello Kitty (Hello Kitty, 林家琪) is similar to me in that she is brave," and "She is a character who contemplates, expects, and searches for what happiness is."

During the GV, she said, "It feels very strange," and "I hope that while watching, you can briefly forget that it is SHUHUA and think of me as the real Hello Kitty. I will work harder in the future." 'Happily Ever After' is a work that deals with the cracks in daily life experienced by two sisters with contrasting personalities who happen to take in a stray cat, and SHUHUA played the role of Hello Kitty, the youngest in the family with a bright personality. The Busan International Film Festival evaluated in the work's introduction that "i-dle's SHUHUA's acting foretells the birth of a new actor." This work was first revealed as a World Premiere at the 51st Toronto International Film Festival and was also listed in the 'World Focus' section of the 39th Tokyo International Film Festival.
