Yang Hong-won's parenting YouTube channel restricts comments amid infidelity allegations
The YouTube channel "Yang Hong-won's Parenting Diary" has temporarily restricted comments to protect its cast members following infidelity allegations against rapper Yang Hong-won, which surfaced five days after his wedding.
The production team of "Yang Hong-won's Parenting Diary" restricted comments on the 23rd following infidelity allegations against the rapper, who married Won Hyeon-ju in Seoul on the 18th. His agency, AP Alchemy, has filed complaints for extortion and defamation, claiming the whistleblower attempted to demand money through false information.
Rapper Yang Hong-won has been embroiled in infidelity allegations just five days after holding his wedding ceremony.
In a statement released on the 23rd, his agency, AP Alchemy, stated that they would release a formal position after discussions with the artist and the female victim. The agency claimed that the whistleblower's allegations are untrue and that the materials provided were the result of malicious editing.
The agency further alleged that the whistleblower attempted to extort money by threatening Yang Hong-won and the woman, and when the demands were not met, the individual released the false information.
Additionally, the agency reported that Yang Hong-won and the woman in question have filed complaints against the whistleblower for extortion, violations of the Stalking Punishment Act, and defamation by spreading false information.
The YouTube channel "Yang Hong-won's Parenting Diary," which has shared the daily lives of Yang Hong-won's family, also moved to restrict comments on the 23rd. The production team stated they are currently verifying the facts of the matter and will temporarily restrict comment writing to protect the cast members while the investigation is ongoing.
According to the agency, Yang Hong-won met the whistleblower by chance on the day of a performance and subsequently had drinks at the whistleblower's house after the show ended. Following this, the whistleblower allegedly demanded that Yang Hong-won and the woman move to a motel designated by the whistleblower, prompting the two to leave that location.
The agency explained that Yang Hong-won, who was heavily intoxicated, went to a motel to find a place to sleep, and the woman accompanied him as she had nowhere else to go. The agency claimed that once they entered the room, Yang Hong-won fell asleep immediately, and the woman, feeling burdened by the possibility of physical contact while trying to wake him, requested help from the whistleblower and then went home with them. The agency emphasized that there were no acts of affection between the two.
Yang Hong-won held his wedding ceremony with former model Won Hyeon-ju at a location in Seoul on the 18th, following a relationship that began in 2017. They had a daughter in November 2024, and Yang Hong-won opened the YouTube channel "Yang Hong-won's Parenting Diary" in May to share his daily life with his family.
