Singer Yoo Yeon-jung joins musical 'Rebecca'... Opening November 24 at Chungmu Arts Center Grand Theater

Singer Yoo Yeon-jung has confirmed her appearance in the musical 'Rebecca'. Her agency, Starship Entertainment, announced that Yoo Yeon-jung will take on the lead role of 'I' in this production, which opens on November 24 at the Chungmu Arts Center Grand Theater in Seoul. 'I' is a character who grows from a pure and delicate personality into a strong woman.

'Rebecca', based on the novel by British author Daphne du Maurier, is a suspense musical that combines the libretto by Michael Kunze with the music of Sylvester Levay. Since its premiere in Vienna, Austria, in 2006, it has set box office records, attracting more than 2.8 million spectators in 15 countries worldwide. In South Korea, since its premiere in 2013, it has surpassed a cumulative audience of 1 million people through seven seasons.

Having debuted as a musical actress in 2022, Yoo Yeon-jung has expanded her acting range through various works such as 'Lizzie', 'Crash Landing on You', 'Aloha, My Mothers', 'Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812', 'Frida', and 'Beethoven; Beethoven Secret'. Through her agency, Yoo Yeon-jung shared her thoughts, saying, "I am happy and honored to be part of a work that is loved worldwide. This performance will run from November 24 to March 14, 2027, at the Chungmu Arts Center Grand Theater in Seoul.
