According to data from the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network, director Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey' recorded 76,409 daily viewers as of the 9th, reaching a cumulative audience of 10,268,421. This figure is approximately 120,000 viewers away from the final audience count of 10.38 million recorded by 'Interstellar', which was released in 2014.
'The Odyssey' reached the 10 million viewer milestone on the 6th, becoming the 35th film in Korean history to do so and the 10th foreign film. With this record, Director Nolan has produced his second 10-million-viewer film following 'Interstellar', securing the unusual 'double 10-million' title for a foreign director. Considering the weekday audience trends, it is projected that it will surpass the record of 'Interstellar' within this week.
