31st Busan International Film Festival Opening Film ‘Day and Night to Each Other’ Sells Out Immediately Upon Ticket Sales Opening
The film ‘Day and Night to Each Other’, directed by Kim Jong-kwan, has sold out all seats immediately upon the opening of ticket reservations for the 31st Busan International Film Festival.
While the new film ‘Day and Night to Each Other’ by director Kim Jong-kwan has been selected as the opening film for the 31st Busan International Film Festival, it recorded a complete sell-out of all seats simultaneously with the opening of ticket reservations. This reservation process was conducted through the official film festival website starting from 2 PM on September 17.
According to media reports, this work is known to be a pleasant and lovely film capturing the conversation between day and night that stayed at a cafe while a single season passes. The lead roles feature a diverse cast including Minha Kim, Joo Jong-hyuk, Han Sun-hwa, Chang Ryul, Shim Eun-kyung, Lee Hee-jun, Jeon So-young, and Kim Dong-hwi.
Regarding this opening film, the 31st Busan International Film Festival stated the reason for selection, evaluating it as "a flowing film where the cinematic interests, style, perspective, and world that director Kim Jong-kwan has explored with almost obsessive sincerity have reached a provisional maturity."
With the intense anticipation of the audience for the work confirmed through this sell-out of reservations, ‘Day and Night to Each Other’ is ahead of its official theatrical release this coming November.
