The film ‘The Assassin(s)’ is continuing its box office success despite external controversy.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network, ‘The Assassin(s)’ recorded a cumulative audience of 1,890,414 as of 7:00 AM on October 3.

This work rose to number 1 in the overall box office and also maintained number 1 in Korean film reservation rates.

‘The Assassin(s)’ contains the content of tracking the suspicions and the mastermind behind the First Lady assassination incident that shocked South Korea on August 15, 1974.

Some claim that the work distorted history, leading to a situation where star rating terrorism is occurring along with attacks on the appearing actors and the actors who wrote recommendations. The production team explained that the film does not define any specific person as the mastermind behind the incident anywhere in the movie, nor does it present the hypotheses and dramatic settings in the film as historical facts. Nevertheless, ‘The Assassin(s)’ has recorded number 1 in Korean film reservation rates and number 1 in the box office for 19 consecutive days.
