Actress Han Ga-in has released purchase records regarding allegations of advertising and sponsorship involving an albumin product she introduced on YouTube. On the 29th, Han Ga-in posted payment data to the community of her YouTube channel ‘Free Woman Han Ga-in’ and stated that she was revealing the purchase records at that time to explain the facts following a post she made the previous day.
According to the released data, Han Ga-in purchased a total of 90 bottles—three boxes of 30 bottles each—for 616,000 won on July 23, 2024. This was before she started the ‘Free Woman Han Ga-in’ channel, and the video introducing the product was released in November of the same year. She also stated that there is a record of purchasing the same product in March 2025.
Along with the purchase statement, Han Ga-in conveyed her position that she bought the product with her own money without any compensation or sponsorship since before the channel was opened. Even the previous day, regarding the video, she stated, "It is 'my money, my purchase' content where I introduced a product I personally purchased and used without any compensation or sponsorship," adding, "There is no lie regarding whether it is an advertisement."
She explained that after childbirth, when her energy levels dropped, she felt her condition improved after taking the product, which led her to recommend it to others. However, she apologized for her imprudent judgment in delivering information based on subjective feelings without rigorous verification. In the video, she introduced the product as one of many health management products, which subsequently led to a debate surrounding the nature, efficacy, and advertising status of the product.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety stated in a consumer notice in April, "Oral albumin is not a medicinal product."
