JYP Entertainment and J.Y. Park Donate 550 Million Won for Vulnerable Children in Mexico

JYP Entertainment and singer J.Y. Park have practiced sharing to improve the medical environment for vulnerable children in the Mexico region. According to the agency JYP Entertainment on the 23rd, a total of 550 million won (7.5 million pesos) was delivered, combining JYP's donation of 450 million won and J.Y. Park's personal funds of 100 million won.

This support was promoted as part of JYP's social contribution project, 'EDM (Every Dream Matters!)'. This project aims to increase access to professional medical treatment in various fields such as ophthalmology, pediatric respiratory, heart disease, neurology, epilepsy, orthopedics, congenital malformations and rare diseases, pediatric hematology-oncology, and nephrology and urology. J.Y. Park personally met with key stakeholders, including World Vision Mexico, World Vision Korea, and medical staff from the APEC hospital, to discuss cooperation methods.

The recipients of the support are children and adolescents suffering from severe diseases, who will receive professional treatment, surgery, assistive medical devices, and chemotherapy. J.Y. Park expressed his feelings regarding the donation, saying, "As a singer and a father of two daughters, my heart aches whenever I see children who cannot pursue their dreams due to health problems," and added, "It is a natural duty to repay the love received from fans."

Since 2020, JYP has been providing approximately 10.01 billion won across 10 regions, including Korea, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Mongolia, Bangladesh, and Brazil, through the EDM medical expense support project. J.Y. Park is also serving as a social role model by personally donating 1 billion won every year for four years, totaling 4 billion won, from 2022 to 2025. J.Y. Park, who resigned from his position as an internal director this March, is currently focusing on external affairs as CCO.
