Singer Rooftop Moonlight's Kim Yoon-ju revealed the reason why she and 10CM's Kwon Jeong-yeol have not had children even in their 12th year of marriage.
On the 8th, a video titled "Is marriage and childbirth a necessity? Or a choice?" was released in the 'Donkitaka' segment of the YouTube channel 'KakaoBank'.
In the video, Kim Yoon-ju explained the background of why she has not had a second generation since marrying Kwon Jeong-yeol in 2014.
She said, "I don't think we have ever properly thought about the two ideas: that we must have a child, or that we must not have a child. After getting married at 31, we just lived day by day, and now we are like this in our forties."
She continued, "I didn't care much about those things, but it is also true that I didn't want to give him (my husband) that kind of influence regarding his work," and added, "I think I personally felt that if he were in the middle of working hard and doing well, and suddenly had a baby, and his songs suddenly changed from love stories to life stories, 'that might not suit 10CM very well'."
Bae Yoonjung said, "And didn't you say you started a company? Then there is no time to think about children. You have to take care of your salary and pay the monthly rent," and Kim Yoon-ju replied, "That's right."
