According to media reports, actor Oh Eui-sik is meeting audiences by taking on the role of the elderly Nam-won in the musical ‘Let Me Fly’. The work is a story about Nam-won, who suddenly moves from 1969 to 2020 and looks back on his memories and the time he has lived. It depicts the meaning of daily life by adding a time-travel fantasy to the themes of dreams and love.

Nam-won is a character who struggles to return to 1969. While Oh Eui-sik adds vitality to the stage with explosive energy and rhythm, he builds up the character's passed time and emotions through emotional acting. His sly charm, sweet voice, and natural singing also harmonize with the bright and warm atmosphere of the work.

The performance lasts for 120 minutes. Oh Eui-sik is creating his own elderly Nam-won by moving between laughter and emotional flows, and audiences empathize with the character, laughing and shedding tears. He has been part of the same work from the 2020 tryout to the 2022 premiere and this current season. The actor's changed perspectives and emotions from playing Nam-won multiple times are captured on the current stage.

Oh Eui-sik said, “‘Let Me Fly’ is a performance like time travel that makes myself and precious people look back and ask, ‘What kind of dreams did we originally live with?’ However, after finishing the time travel, even if your current life is different from the image you once dreamed of, you will be able to feel the preciousness and gratitude for your present self. And since it is a warm work containing both emotion and laughter, I hope you will come to see ‘Let Me Fly’ at the end of the year and feel the warmth.”

The musical ‘Let Me Fly’ will be performed at Doosan Art Center Yonkang Hall until January 3 of next year.
