Actress Ryu Hyo-young expressed her romantic interest in Lee Tae-sung during a broadcast of the Channel A variety show 'Groom Class 2'. Lee Tae-sung, citing past family difficulties, initially hesitated but later stated he would consider their relationship from a clean slate.
Actress Ryu Hyo-young expressed her romantic interest directly to Lee Tae-sung on the Channel A variety show 'Groom Class 2'. During the broadcast on the 6th, Ryu showed her active interest by peeling shrimp for Lee Tae-sung and suggesting a run during a 'Han River outdoor gathering' held with the couple Kim Yo-han and Oh Yeon-hui.
In a production interview, Ryu Hyo-young revealed that she arranged the meeting herself because she felt she might miss her chance if she remained passive after seeing Lee Tae-sung on the program. She described her ideal type as "a kind, sincere, and responsible person." While moving to a second location, a pocha (street stall), she confessed, "Actually, I wanted to tell you that I am interested in you."
Lee Tae-sung indirectly expressed his intention to decline, stating he felt apologetic about accepting her feelings due to his family circumstances. He mentioned a past experience in his 30s, following his divorce, where a relationship ended due to opposition from the partner's parents. When Ryu Hyo-young offered comfort, saying, "I hope your life is happy," Lee Tae-sung burst into tears out of guilt toward the parents who raised him.
Ryu Hyo-young told him, "I may not be able to be an umbrella on a rainy day, but I can stand beside you and get rained on together." When she asked for a chance to buy him a meal next time, Lee Tae-sung replied, "I will buy the meal." In the studio, Lee Tae-sung stated, "I will now try to think about our relationship from a clean slate."
