Lee Chan-hyuk details solo concert production and sibling support on MBC
On the latest episode of MBC's Omniscient Interfering View, AKMU members Lee Chan-hyuk and LEE SUHYUN shared details regarding the production of their first solo concert, 'Paradise of Rumors,' and how they supported each other through personal challenges.
During the 422nd episode of MBC's Omniscient Interfering View on the 31st, AKMU's Lee Chan-hyuk revealed how he managed a 360-degree stage for the 'Paradise of Rumors' concert and led a training camp in Gapyeong on New Year's Day in 2026 to help LEE SUHYUN overcome a slump.
AKMU members Lee Chan-hyuk and LEE SUHYUN revealed the production process of 'Paradise of Rumors,' their first solo concert after going independent, and their daily lives on the 422nd episode of MBC's Omniscient Interfering View, which aired on the 31st. The broadcast ranked first among entertainment programs in the same time slot with a 2.1% viewership rating, and the scene where Lee Chan-hyuk assisted with LEE SUHYUN's stage costume fitting recorded a peak rating of 4.6% per minute.
Serving as the general director, Lee Chan-hyuk conceptualized a 360-degree donut-shaped stage using sketches and paper miniatures to realize the actual set. Facing extreme pressure starting a week before the performance, he suffered from spasms and lost 5kg in a single month; during the actual concert, he appeared in a 40-year-old classic car to guide the audience of approximately 30,000 people. His agency, Yeonggamui Saemteo, is reported to operate a four-day work week and group swing dance classes on Tuesdays.
To support LEE SUHYUN while she was experiencing a slump, Lee Chan-hyuk began a training camp in Gapyeong on New Year's Day in 2026, establishing rules for diet management, exercise, and restrictions on mobile phone usage; last year, they also walked the Camino de Santiago together. "During this period, the most important thing for me to do was to focus on Suhyun's health and mental recovery," Lee Chan-hyuk said, while LEE SUHYUN vowed, "I will never give up on loving myself again."
Next week's broadcast will feature the first pictorial shoot for Kim Gwang-jin and Team Gwangjin, as well as the first fan meeting for comedian Shin Gi-ru, who is in her 22nd year in the industry. Omniscient Interfering View airs every Saturday at 11:10 PM on MBC.
