Rapper Sleepy becomes a freshman for a day at Shin Ansan University in an episode of EBS’s four-part series A Preview of College. Airing on EBS 1TV at 9:20 a.m. on Monday, October 19, 2026, the episode follows his animal training, lobster pasta cooking and collaborative performance with students.
Rapper and host Sleepy becomes a freshman for a day at Shin Ansan University, trying dog sports, preparing lobster rosé pasta and joining a student performance in an upcoming episode of EBS’s four-part series A Preview of College.
The episode airs on EBS 1TV at 9:20 a.m. on Monday, October 19, 2026. EBS says the series helps teenagers preparing to enter university develop a clearer picture of potential majors and careers. This installment explores practice-focused education and how students turn their interests into professional skills and careers.
Sleepy begins his day at Cheongsim Lake, a landmark on the Shin Ansan University campus, before meeting students in the Department of Companion Animals for practical training. He learns to observe dogs’ subtle signals and behavior as part of basic training to build a connection with them, then takes on dog sports, running an obstacle course in coordination with a dog.
“Simply finding them adorable and connecting with them and taking responsibility based on professional knowledge are completely different,” Sleepy says. The experience brings home the importance of systematic education in companion-animal behavior and the responsibility involved in becoming a professional entrusted with an animal’s life.
Following the smell of food through the corridors, Sleepy next visits the Department of Hotel Culinary Arts. Students’ practical work fills a corridor with a display of Korean dishes, Western dishes and desserts that they planned, cooked and carefully plated themselves. EBS describes the buffet display as comparable to one at a hotel.
During the cooking session, Sleepy works alongside students to prepare lobster, a premium ingredient, for lobster rosé pasta. He also learns plating techniques to improve the dish’s presentation. The session examines the difference between home cooking and professional cooking, which requires consistent quality and an understanding of the principles behind flavor.
The episode also features a collaboration between the Department of Beauty Design and the Department of New K-pop. Beauty design students style the performers’ hair and makeup to suit the stage concept and lighting, putting their skills into practice.
Sleepy makes a surprise appearance as a DJ, joining students for an energetic performance combining DJing and dance. EBS presents the collaboration as a look at how students from different disciplines bring their expertise together to create a complete stage production.
