UNIS releases final fan song 'Milky Way' ahead of contract expiration

The group UNIS is delivering their final greeting to fans as they conclude 2 years and 6 months of official activities. UNIS released the digital single 'Milky Way' through various music streaming sites at 6 PM on August 23. This new song was inspired by the sight of distant stars connecting into a single flow called the Milky Way, conveying the meaning of a comma—a brief pause—rather than a farewell.

Their agency, F&F Entertainment, announced through official SNS on August 22 that the exclusive management contract with UNIS will terminate as of September 26. The agency stated that they decided to end official activities in accordance with the scheduled contract period, expressing gratitude to the members who filled the stage with passion and sincerity during this time and offering support for their new beginnings.

In this final fan song 'Milky Way', the members added more meaning by participating directly in writing the lyrics. Jin Hyeon-ju, Nana, ELISIA, and Oh Yoon-ah infused the lyrics with their sincere affection and gratitude toward their fans. Through lyrics such as 'It's okay to take a slightly longer way around' and 'Like a brief rest passing by during a long journey, we will stay for a moment and bloom again,' the song contains their hearts promising the day they meet again.

UNIS is a group formed through the audition program 'Universe Ticket', co-produced by SBS and F&F Entertainment. Since debuting in March 2024 with their first mini-album 'WE UNIS', they have showcased various music such as 'CURIOUS' and 'SWICY'.
