Netizen voting for the 47th Blue Dragon Film Awards has commenced on the Celeb Champ mobile app to select winners across 16 categories.
Netizen voting for the 47th Blue Dragon Film Awards opened on the 2nd via the Celeb Champ app, with six technical categories set to close on November 12. While the Chung Jung One Popular Star Award will see one man and one woman selected through netizen votes, the ceremony is scheduled for November 25 at KBS Hall.
Netizen voting for the 47th Blue Dragon Film Awards began on the 2nd via the Celeb Champ mobile app. Voting is available until midnight on November 24 for 10 categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best New Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best New Actor, Best New Actress, and the Chung Jung One Popular Star Award.
Voting for six other categories—Cinematography, Screenplay, Music, Art Direction, Editing, and Technical Effects—will close earlier, at midnight on November 12. The Chung Jung One Popular Star Award will be presented to a total of four people, with two men and two women; one man and one woman will be selected solely through netizen voting.
The remaining male and female recipients of the Chung Jung One Popular Star Award will be determined by combining Celeb Champ voting results with the votes of the Sports Chosun press corps and experts. For the 15 categories excluding the Chung Jung One Popular Star Award, winners will be finalized by combining professional jury evaluations and netizen voting results with equal weight.
The Blue Dragon Film Awards operates a "Real-Name Judging System," which discloses the list of judges and the judging results following the ceremony. This measure is intended to increase the fairness and transparency of the judging by simultaneously reflecting expert evaluations and audience opinions.
The ceremony will be held on the 25th at the KBS Hall in Yeouido and is scheduled to be broadcast live on KBS2.
