Lee Won-hae, who performs as a cellist for the Novus Quartet and as a soloist, will visit the "Wednesday Guest Corner" of EBS FM "Jung Kyung's Classic Classic." In the broadcast on September 30, they will discuss Lee Won-hae's musical journey, primarily active in Europe, the process of joining the Novus Quartet, and his thoughts on music as a soloist.

After attending the Korea National University of Arts Preparatory School and Sunhwa Arts High School, Lee Won-hae graduated as the unanimous top student from the Boulogne-Billancourt Conservatory and the Conservatoire de Paris in France. Subsequently, he studied at the Berlin University of the Arts as an exchange student in Europe, and entered the soloist program at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague as a full scholar, also graduating as the unanimous top student. He has achieved major results in domestic and international competitions, including 1st place in the string category of the Osaka International Music Competition, and has performed with the Baden-Baden Philharmonic in Germany and participated in major European music festivals such as the Verbier Festival in Switzerland and the Festival de Torroella de Montgrí in Spain.

Having served as the associate principal cellist for the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire in France from 2015 to 2020, Lee Won-hae expanded his scope of activity by joining the Novus Quartet in 2020. In this broadcast, he will talk about the musical differences felt while working as a cellist in orchestras and string quartets, the process of adapting to new environments, and the experience of creating music together as a member of the Novus Quartet. Furthermore, he will share stories about the process of creating his own music as a soloist and the moments when his playing has changed throughout his musical career.

Information regarding his second recital , to be held on October 18 at the Seoul Arts Center IBK Chamber Hall, will also be shared. Lee Won-hae will once again collaborate with pianist Choi Hyeong-rok, following their previous recital in 2024. This performance consists solely of works by Clara Schumann and Johannes Brahms, highlighting the musical connection between the two composers and the sentiment of Romanticism. In the broadcast, they will delve into the stories behind the performance, from the occasion they first worked together to the specific musical points they are focusing on for this concert.

In this broadcast, a live performance by Lee Won-hae and pianist Choi Hyeong-rok can also be heard. They are scheduled to present a deep musical dialogue between cello and piano through Clara Schumann's <3 Romances> and Johannes Brahms' 1st movement and 2nd movement. In particular, as Clara Schumann's <3 Romances>, originally composed for violin and piano, will be presented in a cello and piano arrangement, it is expected to deliver a unique emotion through Clara's delicate melodies unfolding with the cello's characteristic deep and warm tone.
