Girl Group RESCENE Selected as First Celebrities to Become Honorary Citizens of Geoje City
Girl group RESCENE has been named honorary citizens of Geoje City, marking the first time celebrities have received this honor.
Girl group RESCENE has made their names on the list of honorary citizens of Geoje City, Gyeongsangnam-do, as the first celebrities to do so. At the second plenary session of the 265th extraordinary session held on the 9th, the Geoje City Council passed the motion to select RESCENE as honorary citizens as originally proposed.
Geoje City, which is also the hometown of RESCENE member Woni, highly evaluated the group for increasing the local area's recognition through the members' promotional activities and Minami's 'Geoje Yaho' meme. Having been appointed as honorary ambassadors last May, RESCENE has maintained a special connection with the local community by donating 50 million won last month to aid in recovery efforts from heavy rainfall damage.
