International Foundation for Korean Language Education Produces Hangeul Song ‘You and Me Together’ for Overseas Korean Language Class Students

On September 8, the International Foundation for Korean Language Education will hold a music video presentation for the Hangeul song ‘You and Me Together,’ designed for students in overseas local public education Korean language classes, at the foundation's conference room in Gye-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. This song was planned to allow overseas youth to learn Korean easily and enjoyably in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Hangeul Day in 2026.

Announcer Lee Geum Hee wrote the lyrics based on the principles of the creation of Hangeul consonants and vowels, and singer Lee Seon Hee was in charge of composition and singing. The music video features ‘Heunggeuls,’ characters that embody Hangeul consonants and vowels, and choreographer Aiki participated to complete movements that are easy for students to follow. This content will be used as teaching material for Hangeul schools and Korean language classes in local schools worldwide in cooperation with the Ministry of Education.

Lim Young-dam, Chairman of the International Foundation for Korean Language Education, stated that he hopes overseas youth will learn the value of harmony through the song, and added that the foundation will continue to provide private-sector support to expand Korean language education for overseas elementary and secondary students.
