The fan club 'D.C. Yim Jae-beom Gallery' of singer Im Jae-bum stepped forward to support vulnerable children in celebration of his birthday on the 14th.
ChildFund Korea, a specialized child welfare organization, announced on the 14th that it will use the 11,154,000 won raised by the fan club to provide food kits to approximately 50 children at risk of hunger in Seoul.
This donation began at Im Jae-bum's 40th anniversary debut concert held on May 17 at Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul.
During the concert at that time, Im Jae-bum encouraged sharing, saying, "As much as the love given to me, I hope that if there are people around me who are marginalized or in difficult and hard situations, good deeds will continue where people gather their strength to help them."
The fan club conducted voluntary fundraising for one month starting from August 20, collecting a total of 11,154,000 won. Of this amount, 10,140,000 won was delivered to ChildFund Korea as a donation, and an amount equivalent to 1,400,000 won was delivered as nutritional supplements.
A representative from ChildFund Korea said, "We are grateful for this decision to donate, gathering fan devotion toward the singer to cheer for the children's tomorrow," and added, "We will continue our support so that children can envision a hopeful tomorrow."
