Im Siwan Selected as Host for the 31st Busan International Film Festival Closing Ceremony

The secretariat of the 31st Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) announced on the 6th that it has confirmed actor Im Siwan as the host for the closing ceremony, which will be held on the 15th of next month at the Busan Cinema Center outdoor theater in Haeundae-gu, Busan. On the day of the closing ceremony, the 'Busan Awards' ceremony, which announces the winners in the competition category, will also be held.

Regarding the background of selecting Im Siwan, the film festival explained that they highly evaluated his deep acting skills in grasping the essence of a character and the path he has shown thus far. Im Siwan, who is from ZE:A, has proven his acting skills by appearing in various works such as 'The Attorney', 'Misaeng: Incomplete Life', 'Boyhood', and the 'Squid Game' series since his debut as an actor in 2012.

Meanwhile, the 31st Busan International Film Festival will be held from the 6th to the 15th of next month around the Busan Cinema Center.
