Jung Dong-won donates prize money from Good Star Singing King Contest to Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation
Singer Jung Dong-won has donated his prize money from the Good Star Singing King Contest to the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation. The funds will be used to support care and treatment costs for children and adolescents suffering from pediatric cancer and rare, incurable diseases.
The Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation announced on the 8th that singer Jung Dong-won has delivered the prize money he received from the Good Star Singing King Contest to the foundation. This sponsorship will be used for a project to support care and treatment costs for children and adolescents suffering from pediatric cancer and rare, incurable diseases.
The foundation provides nursing expenses, living expenses, food costs, etc., to families who find it difficult to continue livelihood activities while caring for children undergoing long-term treatment. Jung Dong-won's fan club, Space Mobilization, has also been continuing its support, and donations made in Jung Dong-won's name through Good Star have continued up to this sponsorship.
As the burden of care increases not only for the patient child but also for the family as the treatment period lengthens, projects that provide both nursing and livelihood support play a necessary role in maintaining the daily lives of families. However, for continuous private sponsorship to lead to stable support, the process of steadily monitoring the families in need is also important.
The Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation conducts projects for children and adolescents with pediatric cancer and rare, incurable diseases, such as support for treatment and surgery costs, emotional support, and the operation of shelters.
