On the 13th, the Korea Organ Donation Agency, together with Gwangsan District Office, held the ‘Life Sharing Together Concert’ at the Gwangsan District Office Citizen's Plaza in Gwangsan District, Gwangju Metropolitan City. This is the final schedule among the four events planned for this year.

The event featured performances by the Voice of Life Choir, a chamber music trio by students from Gwangju Arts High School, and a sand art performance. Kim Gyeong-cheol, a bereaved family member of a donor, and Im Hae-cheol, a transplant recipient, participated in a life-sharing talk to share their respective experiences. Gwangsan District Office presented a plaque of appreciation to the donor's bereaved family.

The Voice of Life Choir is composed of bereaved family members of donors, transplant recipients, and those registered as organ donation wishers. At the venue, spaces for organ donation registration and CPR experience were also provided. The event was designed to present organ and human tissue donation through stories on stage and citizen participation, combined with performances and hands-on experiences.

Park Byeong-gyu, the head of Gwangsan District Office, stated, “Organ donation is one of the most noble forms of sharing that connects someone's life,” and expressed his intention to create an environment that remembers donors and honors their bereaved families. Lee Sam-yeol, the president of the Korea Organ Donation Agency, said, “We hope that through music and stories, we can convey the wishes of donors and their families, and that this serves as an opportunity for citizens to encounter life-sharing in a more friendly way.”

This event followed concerts held starting from Geumcheon-gu, Seoul last month, and at the Ilsandong-gu Public Health Center, Goyang Special City and Seoul Metropolitan Government Boramae Medical Center.
