WE Entertainment is launching a new boy group approximately six years after the group WEi. The agency announced on the 9th that the multinational 8-member boy group WEBOYS (tentative name) is preparing with the goal of officially debuting by the end of this year.
WEBOYS consists of a total of 8 members: Seung-jun, Anji, Aito, Sihwan, Jeongjae, Minseo, Seung-woo, and Masayoshi. As members of various nationalities, including Korea and Japan, are gathered, they plan to engage in activities targeting the global market.
The agency expressed its ambition to communicate with fans worldwide through music based on the members' personalities and capabilities. Currently, they are building recognition before their debut by conducting guerrilla events in locations such as Songdo Art Hall, Lotte World, and Hongik University, and by releasing cover videos and short-form content through official channels.
