P Nation announced that Baby DONT Cry's digital single 'Replay' will be released simultaneously in Korea and Japan on September 4 at 6:00 PM. The track is an R&B song based on two-step garage, a subgenre of the electronic music genre UK garage that originated in the United Kingdom, and captures memories and emotions that persist even when one tries to forget them.
'Replay' features PSY as the executive producer, with Crush participating in the songwriting and composition. Member Lee Hyun stated through the agency, "I have learned a lot by listening to the music of PSY and Crush. It is an honor and I am grateful that they participated directly. Since they have created such good music, I feel a great sense of responsibility to perform even better."
BENI said, "As this is the first time we are attempting the R&B genre since our debut, I hope we can show a good side of ourselves by fully understanding and practicing the music." MIA expressed, "Since the song expresses memories and emotions that keep coming to mind even when trying to forget them, I hope the melody continues to linger in the listeners' heads."
The music video includes choreography scenes performed with dancers. BENI explained, "Please pay close attention to the direction and choreography that brings out the mood of the song, as well as the hidden details in every scene. It is a song where you can discover new charms the more you watch and listen to it." Baby DONT Cry is scheduled to make their official debut with a mini-album release in Japan on January 20 next year. Lee Hyun added, "I am greatly looking forward to meeting Japanese fans more closely. We will strive to let more fans know our music and charm."
