In the upcoming EBS Lecture 16, airing on Thursday, September 17 at 9:20 AM, viewers will learn how to use AI to check their English proficiency and find specific areas that require more practice for intensive study.

Is the same study method the answer for everyone? Even elementary English is in the era of customized education!

Each student may feel difficulty in different areas or repeatedly make mistakes in different sections. Because of this, rather than blindly increasing the quantity of problems, it is important to first go through the process of accurately identifying one's current weaknesses. In particular, since English consists of various areas such as vocabulary, grammar, reading, and writing, even students who receive the same score may have different points that need supplementation. Therefore, methods that utilize AI to identify students' deficiencies and tailor learning content based on them are gaining attention recently.

Research results have also shown that lessons considering a student's level and learning status can bring positive changes to actual English learning. In a study applying AI digital-based customized English classes to 36 third-grade elementary school students in Seoul, English speaking accuracy and fluency improved significantly after the classes. It was found that interest in and confidence in English learning increased, while anxiety decreased. This shows that lessons considering one's learning status can bring positive changes to learning attitudes as well.

In this Lecture 16, viewers will learn how to request AI to create a diagnostic evaluation based on the English textbooks they usually study, and through this, how to check their learning status and lacking parts. Afterward, they will analyze incorrect answers to see which areas they are struggling with and create their own English worksheets reflecting those results.

The problem types, difficulty, and volume of the worksheets can also be adjusted as needed. Additionally, viewers will learn an AI learning method that connects wrong answers to new practice by even creating games to practice the order of English sentences.
