Gangwon Foundation for Arts and Culture to hold Four Colors Concert 4 times starting October 21

The Gangwon Foundation for Arts and Culture announced that it will hold a total of four performances, a planned concert series for the PyeongChang Music Festival, from October 21 to November 25. Now in its sixth year, this concert series has continued in a format that brings different genres onto one stage to show unique combinations.

This year's program is composed of the themes of classical, jazz, circus, and traditional Korean music × popular music. In October, the Italian string quartet "Quartetto Indaco," which won the 2023 Osaka International Chamber Music Competition and received two special prizes, will perform on October 21 at 19:30 at the Myeongju Art Yard in Gangneung. Following this, "Super Brass Stars," a group of brass players from Japan, will take the stage at the Baengnyeong Art Center in Chuncheon on October 22 at 19:30.

In November, "Mulko," featuring Kang San Ae and young singer Jeong Bo-gwon, will be held on November 20 at 19:00 at Haslla Hall, Gangneung Campus, Kangwon National University. This work was introduced as a premiere for the 2026 Yeowoorak Festival. On November 25 at 19:30, 'Team Funniest' will present a circus comedy performance at the Hoengseong Culture and Arts Center. As a non-verbal stage format combining juggling, magic, circus, and musical instrument performance, it appears to be a composition that can expand the audience base. As different genres are tied together in a single flow, the differences in atmosphere and modes of expression are expected to be clearly revealed for each performance.
