Nana Takes on First Historical Drama with Netflix's 'Snow White's Revenge'... Projecting Inner Self Through Role of Hui-yeon

At the production press conference for the Netflix series 'Snow White's Revenge' held at the JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square in Seoul on the 9th, actress Nana shared her thoughts on appearing in her first historical drama. In this work, Nana will play the character Hui-yeon, a young widow who has lost her husband, and is set to depict the inner self of a character who longs for an independent life beyond the constraints of the era.

Director Jung Ji-woo explained that he cast Nana because he judged her to be the right person for the role of Hui-yeon, who breaks away from traditional female archetypes. In response, Nana shared that she could deeply empathize with the character because Hui-yeon resembles her own introverted and passive personality during her childhood. Nana added that she focused on transparently expressing Hui-yeon's emotions by reflecting on memories of her past.

Meanwhile, 'Snow White's Revenge' is a work set in the Joseon Dynasty that deals with the dangerous love gamble between Lady Cho and Jo Won, and is scheduled to be released on the 18th.
