Sejong Cyber University holds 2026 Hanmaeum Festival... Students, Alumni, and Faculty Gather in One Place

On the 19th, Sejong Cyber University held the 2026 Hanmaeum Festival 'Beyond the Screen' at the Sejong University playground, providing a venue for exchange among its members. This event was designed to allow current students, students on leave, alumni, faculty, and local residents to mingle beyond the online learning space.

The event was divided into a sports competition and the Hanmaeum Festival. In the first part, the sports competition, activities such as air-wand relays, cooperative three-legged races, strategic tug-of-war, and tug-of-war continued, with participants forming teams to work in harmony. In the second part, congratulatory speeches by President Shin Gu and the President of the Alumni Association were delivered, followed by the Alumni Association scholarship presentation ceremony. Congratulatory performances by students from the Department of Applied Music, undergraduate lotteries, OX quizzes, and games were also prepared.

Stages by invited singers Kim Hyun-jung and Hong Kyung-min followed. As members from inside and outside the school gathered in one place, the event was interpreted as having a meaning beyond a simple gathering. It also drew attention as an example of how a cyber university can expand its offline community beyond online education.

President Shin Gu stated, "It was a meaningful time where all members of the school could step out of the online space, gather in one place, communicate with one heart, and become one." He added, "We will continue to support various online and offline exchange programs so that students can feel a sense of belonging and mingle with each other."
