Comedian Shin Gi-ru completed her first fan meeting, "No Condom Show," held at a 1,000-seat venue to celebrate her 21st debut anniversary. The day was revealed in the 423rd episode of MBC's "Omniscient Interfering View" broadcast on the 7th.
To cope with extreme nervousness before the performance, Shin Gi-ru attempted to soothe herself by eating. She ate frozen pork belly in the morning and continued to eat donuts and bread in the waiting room. Supporters including the Hong Yoon-hwa and Kim Min Ki couple, the Hong Hyun-hee and Jason couple, Song Eun-i, Lee Yong-jin, Pungja, and regular shop owners visited the site to cheer her on.
During the opening, instead of walking out, Shin Gi-ru entered while being carried by staff members while seated in a chair. Even when she drank water or made burping sounds, the audience of approximately 1,000 people responded with cheers and applause.
Toward the end of the performance, Shin Gi-ru sang "If I Were" by Yoon Bok-hee and burst into tears during a surprise slogan event. "I haven't been happy once this year, but thank you so much for making me feel today that 'I am a happy person,'" she said. After the performance, she could not stop crying while looking at her colleagues backstage.
"Omniscient Interfering View" airs every Saturday at 11:10 PM on MBC.
