Actress Yumin visits South Korea to attend Kim Dong-ryul concert
Actress Yumin, who returned to South Korea after a long hiatus, expressed her joy at finally attending a concert by ballad singer Kim Dong-ryul.
Actress Yumin shared her emotional experience attending a Kim Dong-ryul concert on October 26, marking a return to South Korea 13 years after she moved back to Japan following her appearance in IRIS II in 2013.
Actress Yumin shared her impressions of attending a Kim Dong-ryul concert while reminiscing about her memories in South Korea. On October 26, Yumin updated fans on her recent life by posting photos taken during her visit to South Korea on her social media.
“It was a concert by the South Korean ballad singer Kim Dong-ryul, someone I wanted to see at least once in my life,” Yumin said regarding her experience. “When it comes to autumn in South Korea, it is definitely ballads. It was a truly happy time.” Recalling her time living in South Korea in 2001, she shared that she used to soothe her loneliness and study Korean while watching music videos that were produced with grand, cinematic scales.
Yumin specifically noted her fondness for the music video for Kim Dong-ryul's "Should I Say I Love You Again?". “Kim Dong-ryul is a person who can create songs that touch the memories in someone's life,” she added. “He has so many masterpieces. Even though it was just a few days ago, the lingering emotions remain.”
Yumin, who was widely loved for her pure image while appearing in the drama "All In" and the variety show "Kang Ho-dong's Perfect Match" in South Korea during the 2000s, suspended her activities in South Korea and returned to Japan following "IRIS II" in 2013. She married a non-celebrity Japanese man in 2018 and currently has a son.
