Gangneung City and EBS to broadcast Haseullang tourism specials in October
Gangneung City, EBS, and Gangneung Tourism Development Corporation have co-produced a special edition of the show "Ding Dong Daeng Ding Dong Daeng" to introduce Gangneung's natural attractions and digital tourism character Haseullang to children.
EBS will broadcast two special episodes of "Ding Dong Daeng Ding Dong Daeng" on October 28 and 29, 2026, featuring the digital character Haseullang exploring landscapes such as Ojukheon and Gyeongpo Lake.
The Gangneung special edition of "Ding Dong Daeng Ding Dong Daeng," co-produced by EBS, Gangneung City, and Gangneung Tourism Development Corporation, will showcase the beautiful nature and tourist attractions of Gangneung, along with the story of the city's digital tourism character, Haseullang.
This special features a combination of characters and fantasy stories designed to allow children to enjoyably experience Gangneung's representative tourism resources. Landscapes such as the bamboo forest of Ojukheon, Gyeongpo Lake, Jeongdongjin, and Daegwallyeong appear as settings in the stories, friendly delivering the charm of Gangneung's nature and culture.
The episode "Haseullang, Embracing the Energy of Gangneung," broadcasting on the 28th, introduces the birth story of the digital tourism character Haseullang. The story follows a cat traveling to Gangneung that encounters the energy of the city—including the bamboo forest of Ojukheon, the winds of Gyeongpo Lake, and the sunrise of Jeongdongjin—and transforms into a character that helps facilitate enjoyable trips to Gangneung.
The following day's episode, "Fairy Haseullang and the Magic Trash Can," features Haseullang and the representative "Ding Dong Daeng Ding Dong Daeng" characters Dingding, Dongdong, and Daengdaeng traveling throughout Gangneung to protect the clean city. Set against the backdrops of Gyeongpo Lake, pine forest paths, and Songjeong Beach, the episode naturally conveys the meaning of environmental protection to children as they clean up trash and work together to protect Gangneung's nature.
The "Ding Dong Daeng Ding Dong Daeng" Gangneung special, which captures the charms of Gangneung City through Haseullang, Dingding, Dongdong, and Daengdaeng, will be broadcast on EBS1 at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, October 28, and Thursday, October 29, 2026.
